The battle of the sexes continues to be strong in the world. Nowadays , it is just as strong in the church. But why? Did God create males and females differently in value and worth? Do women have value according to the God of the Bible? Should women battle men in Christianity too?

Parents are responsible for their children.  Period.  This is a clear global understanding in humanity.  What if I told you that parents agree with this until the spirituality of their children comes up.  American families have gradually come to the position that the church is responsible for the spirituality of their children and nothing else.  In other words, parents want autonomy on things like letting their children date, giving their children smartphones at 6 years old, etc.  These same parents pass the spiritual buck of their children on to the church.  Is this what God says is suppose to happen between parents with their children and the church?  Is there any way God can still be glorified and churches can still foster methods that help parents with the spirituality of their own children successfully, rather than keep the drum beating to the current methods that continue to fail miserably?

Sunday school.  Youth church.  Awana.  These in and of themselves are not bad.  The intent behind these is also not bad.  Sadly, and unfortunately, research shows that these do not produce multitudes who decide to follow Jesus.  Instead, the majority of youth involved in these efforts become godless and spiritually disinterested before graduating high school.  Disagree?  Curious?  Consider the truth of the spirituality taking place behind the scenes in most churches, parents, and youth that produces humans void of morality, that is, holiness and righteousness according to the Bible. 

Lying on God

There really is absolutely nothing "new" under the sun.  Religion is no exception either.  Before the apostles, before Jesus Christ walked the earth, and even before the prophet Isaiah, God knew there would be people who would claim to speak for him.  Catholics claim they are the true church.  Islam claims the God of the Bible is really Allah and Muhammad is his prophet.  Mormons claim another testament of Jesus Christ.  Jehovah's Witness claim another gospel and the new world translation bible.  Who one is telling the truth?  Can they all be true?  Was God in the dark on this or did He put in His word how anyone can know at anytime who speaks for Him and who doesn't?  Is it possible to know for certain what comes from God and what does not?

Sports, entertainment, and news are saturated with black people coming from urban contexts.  Urban is a word that has been associated with Black culture.  Why?  What is urban and what about this context has influenced black people?  What are the spiritual identifiers contributing to the landscape of urban America?  How important is music to black people and how does it influence its values?  Hear the continuation of the previous episode and learn what the identifiers are with what shapes this culture with the lid of this specific darkness taken off.  

Urban Darkness

Growing up as a black man in America, I must say that what black culture has evolved to altogether is not something I care to be associated with.  In a city like Memphis, TN there are and have been countless initiatives and movements to resolve the plight of juvenile crime, which has contributed to influencing a city that called for President Trump's SAFE TASK FORCE (National Guard, FBI, etc).  Urban is frequently associated with Black people in general.  But what do we see in most urban contexts across America?  Does the Bible have anything to say about the culture that continues to cultivate in real time today?  

Times and Dates Prophesied

Conferences, seminars, workshops and special church meetings continue with promises of a "specific event" or a prophesy of the end times as to what will take place and who will do what and what to look for.  How can anyone know who is who?  Why is it that a random charismatic person or seemingly wealthy person has the "word" or is in a place to speak on behalf of God?  When it comes to prophesy, could it be that God has not revealed the things these folks are claiming to have been told?  Rather than running around like rapid fire popcorn from one event to the next, is there a time and date or prophesy that we can know and be focused on?  Here now is that clarity straight from the Bible.  

Above Reproach

Permanently disqualified!  This is a phrase that is broadcasted loud and clear to the masses, declaring a man to be formally banned from preaching or pastoring. Standards, responsibility, accountability, and eligibility are understandable, and rightfully so.  Is it possible for a man to be disqualified from serving in a church capacity?  Sure.  Standards are either met or they are not, which is universally accepted and understood.  However, to be permanently disqualified according to the Bible is another story.  Can a man actually be permanently disqualified from serving the Lord in a particular capacity according to the Lord Himself?  How does the word of God speak to this?   

What are we doing?

Christianity.  What comes to the mind of most people when that word is read?  A wise man once asked "If the church looked like you, what would it look like?"  There are the written words of the Bible, and then there are people.  If we know God through Jesus and Jesus through people, is it possible for people to know the Jesus Christ of the Bible through the lives that Christians live today?  Thus, the questions begs to be asked, what are we doing?
